I
first came across this play and met the author in 1999 while on holiday in Wales. He was appearing in a couple of one-act
plays in Swansea, and while I talked with him the idea of presenting this play formed in my mind. It has taken me this
long to attempt to direct it and I have had the encouragement of the author all the way. I submitted it to the Board
for consideration, encouraged by Rosemary Longhurst who jumped at hte chance to use her native Welsh accent.
I am fortunate
to have an extremely dedicated and hard-working cast (including one Scot) who have all worked diligently
on their accents.
We all hope you have enjoyed this family comedy - with a few poignant moments - as much
as we enjoyed bringing it to you.
