November Production

Auditions 22nd & 23rd August

All welcome to audition. We are open to gender blind casting, so feel free to audition for the character(s) that you would like. If you are out of the age bracket for a part but would like to audition, you are also welcome.

Auditions will be held on August 22nd and 23rd at Old Mill Theatre, Corner Mends Street and Mill Point Road, South Perth.  Auditions will be in a group format.

Rehearsals will be on Monday and Thursday evenings 7pm – 9:30pm and Saturdays 10:30am – 1:30pm in Subiaco.

Pick Your Poison - Cast of Characters

 

ALICE JENNINGS: Female, late 20s. Sir Nicholas Blackburn’s secretary. Practical and sensible.

JOSEPHINE (FIFI) FRANCOIS: Female, mid-20s. The French kleptomaniac maid. Can be sassy.

LORD EARNEST CRAWFORD: Male, mid-20s. The 4th son of the marquess of Whitley. Comes across as upper-class and snobby.

DR MERLIN HAYES: Male, 60s. A Harley Street doctor and old friend of Sir Nicholas and Octavia Osborne. His wife (Sybil Hayes) was killed in a hit-and-run a few years ago. He enjoys a few drinks to drown his sorrows.

OCTAVIA OSBORNE: Female, 50s-60s. A famous crime novelist and old friend of Dr. Hayes and Sir Nicholas. Her ex-husband (Julien Osborne) has recently died. A larger-than-life character who has an opinion on everything.

CLAYTON ASBURY: Male, early 30s. And acquaintance of Sir Nicholas.

SIR NICHOLAS BLACKBURN: Male, 60s. A judge in the high court of England. He is hosting a weekend party for various friends and acquaintances. Pompous with a few skeletons in the closet.

HECTOR PERROT: Male, mid-30s. A French psychologist and professor at the University of Paris. A bit of a mystery, and maybe based a little on the famous Agatha Christie character.

 

Some actors will be required to double up as small roles for the alternative endings.
